In 2018, Chanu breaks her own record to lifted 203 kgs at World Weightlifting Championships.

In 2020, Mirabai won the silver medal in the Women’s 49 kg category at “Summer Olympic” (Tokyo). And also becoming the 1st Indian weightlifter to win silver in Olympics.

After a won the silver medal in Olympics in 2020, the Government of Manipur gives her ₹1 crore rupees gift.
